Biography

Cecil Talbot was born in 1735 to William Talbot and Mary de Cardonnel.

Cecil married George Rice on August 16, 1756, in either Llantrisant or Pendoylan, Glamorganshire, from a licence dated July 3, 1756.

Cecil and George had four children; George Talbot-Rice (1765-1852, Henrietta Cecilia Rice, Maria Rice and Edward Rice ( -1867).

Cecil died March 21, 1793 at Dynefor Castle. She was buried in the family vault at Llandeilo.

Research Notes

For the marriage I have seen July 3, 1756 for a licence date. I have also seen the marriage date as August 16, 1756 and Llantrisant or Pendoylan as the actual place of marriage.

2nd Baroness Cecil De Cardonnel, Baroness Dynevor (born July 1735 - died 14th May 1793)

Partial Extract from the Hereford Journal, March 27, 1793
On Thursday fe'nnight (se'nnight, sometimes fe'nnight, and means a week, not a fortnight) died, at Dynevor Castle, Carmarthenshire, the Right Hon. Cecil Rice Cardonnel, Baroness Dynevor, in her own right. She was the only daughter of the late William Earl Talbot, and grand-daughter to the Great Chancellor Talbot. She married in 1756 the Right Hon. George Rice, Treasurer of his Majesty's Chambers, and one of his Majesty's most Honourable Privy Council. - The Barony of Dynevor, with large estates, in the counties of Carmarthen, Glamorgan, and Glocester, descent to the eldest son, the Hon. George Talbot Rice, the present Representative in Parliament for the county of Carmarthen.
On Friday morning last, the remains of Lady Dynevor were interred in the family vault at Landilo.
