I descend from John Henry (Johann Heinrich) who left Unterwoessingen nr. Durlach, Baden, in 1743 for Reading, Berks County, Pennsylvania. He returned home in 1750, married Felicitas Froebel and brought her to Reading where the family stayed until 1870. Henry's son Adam married Elizabeth Levan whose family were Huguenots. Henry was a County Commissioner 1770-1773 and took the Oath of Allegiance in 1789 so his descendants qualify for the Sons of the American Colonists and the Sons of the American Revolution, and Adam's descendants for the National Huguenot Society. I don't know any connection between the New York Rightmyers and the Pennsylvania Rightmyers. Some of the New York family went to Canada.
