Note on Robert McDuffie Bryson's Find A Grave Memorial it says his father was Thomas Bryson not Marion Bryson so can anyone show sources that has Marion's first name as Thomas also has his mothers name Emma Hopper not Hooper. and the birth date on the tombstone conflicts with the 1870 census..

Answer from direct kin. His name was actually Robert McDuffie Bryson . Yes, apparently someone added the tombstone sometime after Mary Ellen's death in 1948. Did you find something that showed Robert going by Bob? We know that he went by Mac/ Mack also. My answer back was Bob was on the 1900 census and his tombstone has initial B as first name.
