Biography

Roxana Christina ( Durm) Ball was the wife of Oscar John Ball (1833-1920) also buried in Elm Springs Cemetery. They were married before 1857, probably in Ohio. They were the parents of: John, 1857; Mary, 1858 (married Jefferson M. Bouling); Thomas, 1860; Caroline, 1862; Joseph, 1864; Frank, 1866; Charles, Dec 1866; Elias, April 10, 1870; Isaias, June 1873; and Emma, May 16, 1878 was (believed to have married Lloyd B. Johnson). When Crescentia Rosanna Durm was born on April 15, 1835, in Malsch, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, her father, Thomas, was 32, and her mother, Marianne, was 29. She married Oscar John Ball on December 31, 1855. They had ten children in 21 years:
