When Mary Sadler was born on March 15, 1767, in Derbyshire, England, her father, James, was 34, and her mother, Phoebe, was 23. [1]

She married Joseph Brown on September 29, 1793, in Shirland, Derbyshire, England. [2] after banns[3].

They had one child during their marriage. She had three brothers and four sisters.
