JACOB HOOVER DEAD. - Jacob Hoover, President of the Exchange National Bank of Spokane, died Monday evening, in that city, aged 53, from a complaint of long standing. Mr. Hoover was a native of Oregon, and for many years was a resident of Western Washington, in Pierce and Thurston counties. He was a lawyer by profession, and for many years occupied a prominent position in the political and business life of the then Territory of Washington. He changed his residence to Spokane a dozen or more years ago, where he has filled a like prominent place in public affairs. Many a heart of the older residents will thrill with sadness to learn of the demise of one so thoroughly identified with pioneer history.[1]
