Biography

Dorothy was born about 1735, perhaps on Long Island, Halsey is not a Connecticut Surname, but is common in Suffolk County NY.

On 17 September 1754 Dorothy Halsey married Titus Ives in Wallingford. She died in January 1806 in Norfolk, Connecticut at the age of 71.^[1]

Their children born in Wallingford are:

• Hannah b July 27 1755.^[2]
• Joseph b May 10 1757.^[3]
• Dorathy b July 18 1760.^[4]

Their Children born in Norfolk Conn are:

• Sarah b April 13 1764.^[5] There is also a citation in Wallingford without a first name^[6] Sarah's birth is likely very close to the date that the family moved to Norfolk.
