Nathaniel Freeman was born May 1, 1766, the son of Nathaniel Freeman and Tryphosa Colton of Sandwich, Massachusetts[1][2]

US Congressman. A 1787 graduate of Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, he studied law and was admitted to the Massachusetts State Bar Association in 1791. He was elected as a Federalist to represent Massachusetts’ 5th Congressional District in the United States House of Representatives, serving from 1795 to 1799. He died a year and a half after leaving office at age thirty-four.
On June 5, 1791, he married Mary "Polly" Ford[3][2]
No children are listed for this marriage.
Nathaniel Freeman Jr died 22 August 1800 in Sandwich[4], and is buried in the Old Town Cemetery [5][2]
After Nathaniel's death, his widow married Captain Samuel Parker of Portland Maine[2]
