Biography

Nathan was born about 1846. He was the son of Thomas Peters and Elizabeth Readler. He passed away in 1916.

Private Nathan Peter enlisted at Scranton, Pa in Company A, 97th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry as a substitute at age 18 on Oct. 22, 1864, for 1 yr.; He mustered out on Aug. 28, 1865 with his Company in North Carolina.

From pension records he died on May 12, 1916 and from the 1900 Census he was born in June 1846 in Pennsylvania. His wife, Catharine, was born in October 1850, also in Pennsylvania ^[1]
