Susan's parents were both born in New Hampshire. They were Carlton (b. abt 1802) and Lauriania [Albee] (or Louisana Alber) (b abt 1804) Thayer. Her grandparents were Daniel and Beulah (Corbit) Thayer.

Mrs. Bridgham leaves two sisters, Mrs. Andrew Gale of Chicopee Falls, and Mrs. Julia Lyons of Springfield, and a daughter, Mrs. George C. Bradford of Chicopee Falls.
