Capt. Isaac Ford Winsor was born in 1857 in Aquaforte, Newfoundland. He is the son of Isaac Ford Winsor Sr., a Mariner and Planter from Dartmouth, Devon, England, and Susanna Chafe.
He married Anna Eliza Payne 7 Feb 1878 in Dominion Point, Exploits, Notre Dame Bay, Newfoundland and together they had the following children:
