Daniel was born on 12 April 1723 in Amesbury, Essex, Massachusetts Bay Colony, British Colonial America. He was the son of Samuel Hunt (1690-abt.1747) and Elizabeth (Clough) Hunt (1693-).^[1]

Daniel married Mary Trussell in 1745 in New Hampshire.^[2] Their recorded children:
