Magdalene was born 22 April 1800 in Rockingham, Virginia, the daughter of Phillip Branner and Elizabeth Arehart. Magdalene married Jacob Kaufman Neff on 6 May 1820 in Rockingham county, Virginia. Magdalene was the first wife of Jacob. She died 10 February 1835 and is buried with a headstone at the Neff-Kagey Cemetery, in New Market, Shenandoah County, Virginia.

Magdalene married Jacob Kauffman Neff in Rockingham, Virginia, on May 6, 1830, when she was 30 years old.[3][4][2]
Death
Magdalene died on February 10, 1835, in New Market, Virginia, when she was 34 years old.[1][2]
Burial
Magdalene is buried in the Neff-Kagey Cemetery in New Market, Shenandoah County, Virginia.[1][2]
Her findagrave memorial, managed by the Neff Historical Society, has a photograph of her legible headstone.

Findagrave indicates Erasmus Neff is the son of Magdalene Branner; however, his birthdate is provided as 1839, which is after Magdalene's death date.
