1949 May 14. Death of Orville Lester Haviland at the Stamford Hospital, Stamford, Connecticut. Orville was buried next to his son Orville on 17 May 1949, Lot 7, Section A, Grave 5A, Long Ridge Union Cemetery.[5][12][13][14]

Orville Lester Haviland, of 788 High Ridge Rd., a longtime resident and for the [ ] years an employe of the [Town of] Stamford. died suddenly at Stamford Hospital Saturday [He was the] son of Frank and Ina Mae Haviland, he was born [August] 23, 1882.
Surviving are his wife Mattie Daniels Haviland, three brothers, Howard Haviland, Clarence Haviland, and Harold H. Haviland, all of Stamford.
The funeral will be on Tuesday at 2 p. m. at Bouton and Reynolds Funeral Home [ ] South St., with the Rev. [ ] Moles of Turn-of-River Church officiating. Internment will be in Long Ridge Union Cemetery.[10] [Hard to read, need to find another copy.]
