He was employed as Collector of Hearth Money in the district of Wicklow when he married Ann, daughter of James Fitzgerald of Carrigbegg in county Carlow in March 1782.[2][3] They had:[4]
Richard, eldest son born 1790,[5] died July 1804 aged 14[6][7]
Daniel, born 1791[8], referred to in August 1827 as eldest son who served as a "midshipman in the navy, and is now currently employed in the coast guard"[9] He died 9th January 1835 at Cushendall in county Antrim where he was the Chief Officer of the Coast Guard[10]
Francis, born 1794[11], who married Elizabeth, daughter of John Curry on 24th October 1815[1][12][13]
