The Anglo-Saxon Chronicles entry for A.D. 718 reads, "This year died Ingild, the brother of Ina. Cwenburga and Cuthberga were their sisters. Cuthberga reared the monastery of Wimburn, and, though given in marriage to Ealdferth, King of Northumbria, they parted during their lives.[2]
