Biography
Reuben Floyd was born about 1837 in Marion County, Tennessee to Thomas Floyd and Nancy Unknown. [1]
In December 1896 he sold 50 acres in the Pocket in Marion County, Tennessee to Thomas Bostain, husband of his niece Laura Jane. [2]
He passed away in 1911.

The land that R. C. sold in 1896 was described as follows: Beginning on a Holly Tree at Mouth of Lick Branch, thence Running westwardly across the Hill to Mill creek at the mouth of a Dry Branch on North side Branch comes in thence down side Mill Creek to the pockett creek comeing in middle of the said creeks, where they entersect each other thence with Pockett creek North to the Mouth of Luck Branch the Beginning containing 50 acres more or Less.
