Biography

Amanda Tennessee Pierce was born in Campbell, Tennessee on 28 Aug 1894. She was the fourth child of Daniel Clarence Pierce (25 May 1859) and Sarah Ellison (19 Feb 1858). She had three brothers: James Garfield Pierce (18 Jul 1880), William Franklin Pierce (23 Mar 1883), Berry Simpson Pierce (05 Jul 1885).

When she was 35 years old, her father Daniel Clarence Pierce died (17 Sep 1929). When she was 43 years old, her mother Sarah Ellison died (31 Jul 1938).

On 03 Nov 1912, she married Isom Lee Goins (14 Feb 1890) in Claiborne, Tennessee. She was 18 years old when she married Isom Lee Goins, who was 22 years old at that time.

On 07 Nov 1989, she died in Knoxville, Knox, Tennessee when she was 95 years old. Her husband Isom Lee Goins died on 06 Aug 1979, 10 years before her.
