William de Fleurville is Notable.

William "Billy the Barber" Florville was the first black barber in Springfield, Illinois. He was a close friend of Abraham Lincoln. He was invited to be a pallbearer at Lincoln's funeral but instead walked with the African Americans in the procession.

William de Fleurville was born in Haiti in 1807.

He was the first black barber in Springfield, Illinois. He was a close friend of Abraham Lincoln. He was invited to be a pallbearer at Lincoln's funeral but instead walked with the African Americans in the procession.

He passed away in 1868 and is buried in Calvary Cemetery in Springfield, Illinois.[1]
