Biography

Ermgarde was born about 1285.

She married Patrick Dunbar sometime before 1303,^[1] as his first wife. They had issue, which probably included:

• John Dunbar^[2]

She passed away sometime before 18 Aug 1320 when her husband had a dispensation to marry his second wife.^[1]

Research Notes

Her parents are not mentioned in Scots Peerage. Some unreliable sources indicate she might have been the daughter of Sir WIllaim de Souls and Ermengarde Durward. It is also stated, without source, that she died in 1304.
