Biography
Henry Michael Gordon Clark was born in 1896. He was a son of Henry Herbert Gordon Clark and Helen Johanna (Lawrence) Gordon Clark.
He lived in Mickleham, near Dorking, Surrey, England (United Kingdom).
He was rejected for military service because of poor eyesight, and in May 1915 (during the First World War, 1914-1918) became an orderly at a Red Cross hospital in France: Hôpital Temporaire, Arc-en-Barrois, near Chaumont, Haute-Marne, France. [1]
He was chairman of the company Matthew Clark and Sons.
His wife was Gwendolyn Emily (Marriner) Gordon Clark.
He was High Sheriff of Surrey in 1954. He was living then at the Old Cottage, Mickleham. [2]
He passed away in 1976.
