Graduated from Colby Classical Institute in Waterville, ME, 1919. 1923: Became manager of First National store in the Folsom Block. Married Helen I McHugh. When the new First National was built in 1934 he continued as manager of the grocery department. Died July 22, 1958 while participating in the First National Store's opening in new premises on Center Street. Survivors included his wife and mother, sons James and Wayne McBride, and daughter Corrinne (Mrs. John Hooper; Alexandria, VA).
