Andrew Woodbury Preston was born Beverly, Essex County, Massachusetts, 29 June 1846,^[1] the son of Benjamin Preston and Sarah Poland. Andrew died in Swampscott, Essex County, 26 September 1924, then aged 78 years and 3 months.^[2]

Andrew Woodbury Preston was married by Rev. Gideon Cole at Weymouth, Norfolk County, Massachusetts, 5 August 1869, to Frances E, Gutterson. She was born Brookline, Essex County, the daughter of Joseph and Bessie (Woodbury) Gutterson.^[3]
