Lydia (Stacy) Haswell was born in Vermont.
Lydia, the daughter of John and Mary "Polly" (Baldwin) Stacy was born 22 February 1811 at Orange, Vermont.[1]
Lydia married as his second wife, William Haswell, son of Anthony and Lydia (Baldwin) Haswell on 14 March 1855 at Burlington, Chittenden, Vermont.[2]There were no children from this union.
In 1860, William, 69 years, and Lydia, 49 years, were residing in Bennington, Vermont. No occupation is listed for either.[3]
In 1870, Lydia, 59 years of age, had been a widow for 6 years. She was living in Bennington, Vermont and her occupation was listed as 'Keeping House'.[4]
According to the 1880 U.S. Census, Lydia, 69 years of age, was residing in Bennington, and her occupation was listed as 'Teacher'.[5]
Lydia Baldwin (Stacy) Haswell died 17 May 1891 in her 79th year at Bennington, Vermont of 'La Grippe' (the flu).[6]She is buried in the Old Bennington Cemetery at Bennington, Bennington County, Vermont.[7]
