Biography

John McDonald of Ardnacross was born about 1690. He was a Merchant in Glasgow then a Wadsetter in Ardandnacross when married married Grisel McAllester. John McDonald passed away about 1748.

Recently a confirmed YDNA match has been discovered between Richard R. McDonald McDonald-22450 to Max Milton MacAlister Macalister-103 who descends from John "Black John" MacAllster making our common ancestor the Grandfather Angus Vic MacAlister of Loup. Angus Mcalister's descendant Alexander McAllester of Loup his daughter Grizel McAllester married John McDonald of Ardnacross from Glasgow Scotland having a son named James. Benjamin McDonald was born in Glasgow Scotland and named his eldest son James.

There is many family connections of Max Milton's line his ancestor Black John his son Ranald married Ann McDonald daughter of Alexander McDonald who is a brother to John McDonald
