Florence was born in 1847. She was the daughter of William Wood and Mary Garner. [1] She died in Calvert County MD in 1905. [2]
MRS. FLORENCE W. ZOLLINGER. News was received yesterday of the death of Mrs. Florence Wood Zollinger, widow of Col. William P. Zollinger, at the home of her sister, Mrs. John Bond, Battle, Calvert county. Mrs. Zollinger's death was due to a complication of diseases. She had been ill for nearly a year. 'She is survived by two daughters. Mrs. John Burgess and Miss Mary G. Zollinger. The body will be brought to the city this morning, and the funeral will take place this afternoon at 1 o'clock from the residence of her siter, Mrs. Adam Den-mead, 1709 North Calvert street. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Colonel Zollinger died about 15 years ago. He was a member of the Fifth Maryland Regiment during the riot of 1877.
