He married Annie Marie Offut in Manchester, New Hampshire.[2] on the 25th of December of 1877.[3]
The US Census for Manchester, New Hampshire, shows that Willie is a hotel keeper in Manchester, New Hampshire, and has a young son, Herbert.[4] Herbert would be their only child.
By the time of the 1900 US Census, he and Annie are living back in Enfield, Connecticut,[5] where William is a janitor at a school.[6]
William died in 1926, according to his newspaper obituary held at newspapers.com.[7] During his lifetime, William was a janitor for a local school, a sexton for the Methodist Church in Hazardville, had been educated in Manchester, New Hampshire in engineering, and was a partner with his son in an insurance company.[8][9] The obituary mentions his burial in the Old Hazardville Cemetery in Hazardville, Connecticut.[7]
