Compagnie de Saint-Ours
Embarquée à bord du navire Le Justice le 24 mai 1665. Arrivée à Québec le 14 septembre 1665 (117 jours de traversée , embarquement inclus), Cette compagnie était anciennement la Compagnie Lemongne. Son capitaine ayant donné sa démission, celle-ci fut acceptée par le Roy qui nomma l'enseigne Pierre de Saint-Ours à la tête de cette compagnie début 1665. Cette compagnie en tant que Lemongne aurait participé en 1664 à la bataille contre les Turcs.^[3]

De parents inconnus, sa sépulture lui donne 35 ans en 1678.

Il est confirmé au fort de Sorel le 2 juin 1666, inscrit François Cheuvrefils, diocèse de Périgueux.^[4][5]

François Chèvrefils se marie vers 1671, à Saint-Ours ou à Sorel, avec une fille du roy, Marie Lamy. Ni acte de mariage ni contrat ne nous sont parvenus.

Décès
François Chèvrefy dit la Lyme décède le 18 mai 1678 dans sa maison à St-Ours, inhumé le même jour à St-Ours à l'âge de 35 ans selon l'acte, mort subitement. (enregistré à Sorel)^[8]

Son épouse se remariera avec Jean Duval tôt après, on la retrouve avec son nouveau mari et un enfant du nouveau mariage au recensement de 1681 à St-Ours, les 4 premiers enfants étant ceux de François Chèvrefils.

Saint-Ours Company
Left aboard the ship Le Justice on 24 May 1665. Arrived at Québec on 14 September 1665 (117 days of travel, boarding included). This company was formerly the Compagnie Lemongne. Its captain having given his resignation, which was accepted by the King who named ensign Pierre de Saint-Ours to head the company beginning of 1665. This company under Lemongne would have taken part in 1664 in the battle against the Turks.^[3]

Of unknown parents, his funeral gives him 35 years of age in 1678.

He received the sacrament of confirmation in the fort of Sorel on 2 June 1666, listed François Cheuvrefils, diocese of Périgueux.^[4][5]

Marriage
François Chèvrefils married around 1671, in Saint-Ours or Sorel, with a fille du roy, Marie Lamy. Neither marriage act nor contract have reached us.

François Chèvrefils dit Lalime received a concession from M. de St-Ours on 5 Nov. 1673 before notary Antoine Adhémar^[7]

He received a further concession from M. de St-Ours on 18 July 1677, again before notary Antoine Adhémar^[7]

Note: Migrations site mentions 7 other contracts where he is named, done before notary Pierre Mesnard, seigneurial notary in St-Ours, 2 in 1673 directly relevant to him, another being the marriage contract of his daughter on 19 Sept. 1691. One of the contributors of the site is a direct descendant of notary Pierre Mesnard and has done a special study of that notary.

Death
François Chèvrefy dit la Lyme died on 18 May 1678 in his house in St-Ours, buried the same day in St-Ours at 35 per the record, having died suddenly. (recorded in Sorel)^[8]

His wife remarried shortly afterward with Jean Duval, she is found on 1681 census in St-Ours with her new husband and one child from that marriage, the 4 eldest children listed are François'
