Biography

Pasqua Nuccio was born February 23rd, 1864 in Mezzojuso, Palermo, Sicily, Italy to parents Nicolo' Nuccio and Santa Canzoneri.^[1] She was baptized in the Latin-rites Parish, Parrocchia Maria Santissima Annunziata. (Church of Maria Santissima Annunziata).^[2] She married Francesco Paolo Santacroce on April 22nd, 1886 in Mezzojuso.^[3] Together they had at least 11 children, the first two born in Mezzojuso, the rest born in New York. Many of the children died as infants, but the ones who survived childhood lived a very long life, between the ages of 88 and 93:

Pasqua passed away some time in the year 1913, most likely in the Enfield area of Connecticut.^{[citation needed]} She is buried in Old Saint Patricks Cemetery in Enfield.^[4]
