Hi Sindy,

Glad to meet a new cousin! Assuming your John Bradley Berry is (Berry-7221), son of Bradley Berry and Elizabeth Fields, then Elizabeth Fields is our common ancestor. I descend from her later son with Rice Coffee, William Coffee Berry. He was a Baptist preacher and had 8 or 10 children who left many descendants in North and South Carolina, and Oklahoma.

I think I found a story about Rice Coffee, and I think only two of his children were with Ms. Fields? I love tracking down family history and making sure that children that were not accounted for due to "uppity reasons" are included as family in my own tree. Would love to learn more about your Coffee relatives :)

Perhaps you found the "daybook" of William Coffee Berry. There is an updated version on the web, permanent archive is at https://web.archive.org/web/20180822165041/http://moondancerfarm.com/berrys/WalterScottBerryHandWriting%20FamilyHistory.pdf

But there is a problem- According to Berry's daybook account, Elizabeth Fields had only one child with Bradley Berry, and his name was Franklin. John Bradley must have been with Bradley's first wife, Ann Wood B:1738 Albemarle, Virginia, USA D:24 May 1824 Albemarle, Virginia, USA. He married Elizabeth Fields 29 Nov 1781. Then we are inlaws, not cousins, but we are working in the same area of the tree, collaborators.
