Biography

The documentation in the Bane Vertical file for the Crooks sates the following, this information should be sourced and moved to the proper profiles upon creation of of their profiles.

William Crook was born about 1612 in England. he was married to Elizabeth Matthews. On June 6, 1635 he was licensed at the port of London on the ship "Thomas and John" with eighty others to receive 50 acres of land and the land was recorded in Elizabeth City County of Virginia. This is near the present city of Norfold. he died about 1664. Only known child was Thomas.

Thomas Crook was born about 1635 in Virginia nd married a lady by the name of Anne. he died invirginia about 1670. One known child was Solomon.

Solmon Crook was born about 1667. He married Martha Wiley in Prince George County of Virginia. One known child was George. He died between 1698 and 1704 in Virrginia.

George Crook I was born about 1690. He married one woman named Elizabeth. He settled in Dinwiddie County, Virginia. His children that were baptized and recorded were George II, Martha, Mary, Tabitha, Joseph and James. George I died about 1745 in Dinwiddie County, Virginia.

George II was born about 1730 in Brunswick County, Virginia. He and his brothers, James and Joseph, furnished war supplies for the Revolutionary War. He was married to Mary Irby. His children were Joseph, James, John, Irby, Elizabeth, Martha, Patty, Giles, Solmon and Molly. George II died by 1793[1]
