Biography

Jacob was the son of John "Chucklehead" Freshour and Margaret Magdalena Peters Freshour according to the St James Lutheran Church record book. He was baptised August 7, 1814 and was sponsored by Joseph Winters and his wife Catharina. Jacob was born in 1814. Married Ragina Bowers in 1840. Jacob, his son, was not mentioned in his father's Will since the father, Jacob, died prior to that Jacob's birth. The county court appointed an administrator for Jacob's estate since he died without a Will (Greene County, Tennessee County Court volume 1839-1843 dated October 5, 1840 page 166). In1850 (census) Regina was living with her mother and her son Jacob Freshour Jr. who was born May 25, 1841 according to the St. James Lutheran Church record book. Jacob and Regina were married less than two months when he died. He passed away in 1840
