Jacob Oscar Wilhelm was born in 1864. He is the son of Jacob Mikael Nordström and Ingrid Maria Olsson.[1] He left home at Kalbjerga in 1881 to work at Friggårds where he stayed until 1884.[2] 10 months later, on September 2, 1885, he left for North America.[3] He left Göteborg on September 11 aboard the ship Juno and arrived in Hull, England. His stated destination was New York.[4]
