Biography
Marie Anaïs Paradis was born on 31 Mar 1857 and was baptized on 1 Apr in Saint Pascal parish in Kamouraska. She was the daughter of Narcisse Paradis. farmer, and Adithe Lajoie of this parish. Sponsors at Anaïs' baptism were Pierre Desjardins and Basilisse Pelletier; neither signed the register. At age 24 Anaïs married Francois Xavier Berube on 25 Apr 1881 in Saint Peter and Saint Paul parish in Lewiston, Androscoggin, Maine. Anaîs died at age 74 on 29 Sep 1929; she was buried in Saint Peter's Catholic Cemetery in Lewiston.
