Thank you for this information! So the child's name was Kind van?

Question: is there a way of finding out more information about these people? Thanks Janet

Hi Janet,

"Kind van" isn't a name. It means "Child of" in Dutch.

Information about these people can be found in the Amsterdam City Archive: https://archief.amsterdam/ Much information is scanned and can be accessed only, although there may be a language barrier if you don't speak Dutch.

Hi Janet,

Please note that the 13 Mar 1768 burial is for Kind van (Child of) Jacob Haij Israel, so not for Jacob himself.

But there is a burial for a Jacob Haij Israel on 13 Jun 1788.
