I have much research on John Hawkins, Mariner of New England, I have not yet seen a correct genealogy of him. I would like to post the information I have if that is possible. It would be too difficult to go through, line by line, and correct the information as it is presented. Wikitree has the closest to correct information on my ancestor, John Hawkins, Mariner of New England. Thank you for your time. Jeanne
I just sent you a private message and I look forward to working with you on John Hawkins' profile. Please check the email you used for setting up a WikiTree account. If you didn't get my message, please let me know.
Best Regards,

We have a one profile per person rule one WikiTree - we call it the One World Tree. So if your ancestor is already on WT, you will need to coordinate correcting the profile with the manager of the profile.
If he isn't, you can create a new profile - or new profiles - where they belong, as children or parents of existing people, and fill in the information for him.
Most of us begin with ourselves, and work backwards up our trees, and fill in our parents, and grandparents, and their families, and then their parents, etc. and find where we connect to the One World Tree.
I have asked the team that helps new members with questions like this to contact you and help you get started.

Please visit our tutorial pages to learn how to use WikiTree: How To Use WikiTree. They will save you time, energy, and frustration as you add your family profiles.
Exploring the site is the best way to learn. One way to do that is to check out the drop-down menus on the top right side of your profile page. Finding a known ancestor and collaborating with the profile manager is another great way to start.
Questions? You can always use the G2G link in the Help Menu to find answers.

With our private messages, we've been primarily focusing on your goal to work on the profile of John Hawkins, Mariner (Pre 1700). I know it's complicated to work on Pre-1700 profiles as a very new member. Please let me know if you want to also focus on creating profiles for closer family members such as parents, grandparents, g grandparents, who were born after 1700. This would be much easier to accomplish as you are gaining WikiTree skills.
