Biography
Catherine was born in 1807. She married Alfred Blyth in about 1836. Catherine seems to have lied about her age in the census records, she was actually two years older than Alfred, not one year younger. They had seven children: Catherine Isabella (1837); Celina (1839); Alfred (1841-1890); Eleanor (1842); Henry David (1843); Alice (1846) & Francis (1848-1904). Her brother, Benjamin, married Alfred younger sister Isabella and went on to become a partner in the Blyth shipping business: Blyth, Greene and Jourdain. Catherine passed away in 1883.
