Jacob Addison Sauble was born on August 31, 1877 in Frederick, Maryland, United States, son of William Sauble (1831–1894) and Mary Ann Geiger (1837–1915).

Jacob (27) married Emma Ruth Akehurst (26) (born in February, 1878 in Maryland; daughter of John G Akehurst and Eliza J (Gerbrick) Akehurst) in 1905. Their children were:
