William was born in 1860. He is the son of Thomas Smith and Ann Hardie. He married Sarah Dawson in 1888 and they had a daughter May in 1889 [1] and a son William LeRoy in Wyoming about 1898. He died in 1935.
Obituary
William E. Smith, 75, died at his home in Glenrock last Thursday. He came to Glenock in 1893 and had been a resident of that town since. He was married to Sarah A. Dawson at Streator, Illinois on January 19th, 1888. Two children were born to them, Mrs. Maurice Flavin of Pampa, Texas and LeRoy Smith of Farmington, N.M., who with their mother survive. He is also survived by two brothers, John C. and James, both residents of Streator.
