Richard Leonard Carrapiett died young.

The family lived at 120 Dowling Street Moore Park.

His mother passed away on 7 May 1927 at about age 34 at the family home in Moore Park.^[2] He was possibly cared for by his maternal aunt, Ethel Maude Shepherd (born Schipp) otherwise known as "Mrs George Shepherd", after his mother's death.^[3]

Baby Dick passed away just a few months later on 11 July 1927 in the Coast Hospital (later Prince Henry Hospital). His death was registered in Redfern.^[4][5]

Deaths

CARRAPIETT-July 11, 1927, at Coast Hospital, Richard Leonard (Baby Dick), dearly-beloved infant son of Charles Carrapiett.

He was buried alongside his mother in the Church of England Cemetery, Field of Mars, following a funeral at Wood Coffil's Mortuary Chapel in George Street, Sydney.^[3][6]
