Isaiah Crouch Posted 10 Feb 2013 by Reginald Day Isaiah was one of 7 sons listed as under 16 years of age in the Hebron, Tolland, CT census under Thomas Crouch in 1790. Mentioned in brother Caleb's will in 1842 Lived in Oswego Co., NY

Elijah and Isaiah are believed to be the 3rd and 4th sons of Thomas F. Crouch. They were appointed to do inventory on Thomas' estate by brothers Richard and David. They are among the 7 males listed under age 16 in the 1790 census in the Thomas Crouch household. Thier births would have occured between 1775 and 1790.

"........said Caleb Crouch left at the time of his death Richard Crouch your partitioner & Cornelius his brothers, of Cohocton, Stuben County, Isaiah Crouch of Oswego, Oswego County, Joshua Crouch of Hounsfield, Jefferson County, Samual Crouch of Balston Spa, Saratoga County all of New York, Elijah Crouch of Medina County, Ohio, his brothers; Patty the wife of Stephen Blackman of Hounsfield, Jefferson County & Mary the wife of James Moulton of Cohocton Steuben County, New York. his sisters. Flavel Crouch of Wayne County New York, William B. Crouch of Hounsfield aforesaid, Betsy the wife of ---(Elisha) Taylor of Clyde, Wayne County, New York, (Children of deceased brother David) Joseph Crouch of Cohocton, Jacob Crouch. Asenith the wife of Zeba Crawford, Pamelia Woodward (should be Woodard) the wife of Randolph Woodward (should be Woodard) all of the State of Michigan his nephews and neices(Children of deceased brother Henry)." ( all material inside quotes above added by Reginald Day ) I have not found Isaiah in only the 1830 and 1840 Oswego NY census enumeration. I list Isaiah here because he is named as a son in Thomas F. Crouch's will. He was also appointed to do inventory along with brother Elijah by executors Richard and David Crouch in 1797. He did do the inventory and he signed the inventory affidavit. He was also named in the will distribution in 1814.
