Newbie!! Glad to find you all !
Been dabbling for many years but would like to become more knowledgeable about the myriad sources of FH now available.( its exploded since I first started} basically born Scottish and now also Australian. Tracing Gilchrist from Islay, Henderson in Fife, McNeil from Knapdale possibly Tyree, Millar from Greenock area. Many families in Kinghorn area Fife and Buchanan near Bonhill area. Now in Australia my Son in laws Scottish and Cornish heritage. William J Hammill born 1857 Gwithian (or nearby), died 1910 in Bendigo Victoria Australia. An old Gold mining town. want to give my grandsons a good sense of where they derive from. Think they have family connections in US and NZ via Hammill. They would love to be connected to Luke Skywalker !! ( Mark Hamil)
