3-2-2024 I found a site called sortedbyname.com. I don't know yet if this will help me with any searchs, but we will see.

2-28-24 Once again there is the fight with wikitree to get things set up. I understand they want as much detail as possible. But they need to understand that I can and will list people on the tree as I find them. If this is about people helping others, then they need to give us the chance to post our findings in hopes that someone else may have the missing information to complete profiles.

They are turning more and more into Ancestry as each day goes on.

2/26/2024 I have just stumbled on linking profiles and attempting to match profiles. I am sure I have bumbled. I am sure there is mistakes that need to be fixed.

But I am sure that everyone reading this will be patient, kind and gracious as they have all made mistakes and miscalulations as they were making family discoveries as well.

I have been given documentation by Nancy Boomers Badenhop, but as I am going over that info, I will upload what I can here and put the rest in files that will be given to the person who takes over this tree on my passing.

I have also been given Photos from Cherie Lynn Gage Hagen.

In the interest of keeping my files as organized as possible on my computer, I am going to do a photo dump on my profile. As I get more details of these individuals, the photos will be moved to their profiles as appropriate. I am also hoping, that as the manager of all of these profiles, that someone out there recognizes the person and will have more details they can provide for me.

I understand that there are going to be thousands of trees posted that are cut, dry, boring and filled with stats.

Mine will have that as well, but it will also have stories. It is the Story, the heart, the soul, the memories of that person that MAKE them the person we know.

I was born July 8, 1967. It was a Saturday.

I also just found out that the announcment for my parents wedding was in April of 1967. A mere 3 months before I was born. I will add that photo under Linda Boomers Hoffman and Fred Hoffman.

Time to Take a DNA test to see if my family tree is actually a family wreath. lol

I did take the Ancestry DNA test. I am waiting on the email from them to load it over here. I am excited to announce that a distant cousin on the Boomer-Hanson side reached out. They have over 100 matches going back generations. I am excited to see what I can learn from them.

There is so much so see, say, hear and do with this life and the tree I am slowly building with this.

I am not a die hard Genealogist, but I do enjoy the moments I spend on this tree.

I am not in a big hurry to get this built up, done, etc.

For good, bad or ugly, it will all eventually be on this family history.

I will not whitewash the history of our family. We have some grand moments, heroic moments and as with every other family out there, we also have our shameful and hurtful moments. But, if we don't learn from our past we are doomed to repeat it.

I don't expect any one of my family to pick this tree up and continue it, but if some does they will have the information here.

Hopefully someone, somewhere will find my work useful and helpful.

Any one viewing this tree will see it is a mass assortment of links, bio's, etc.

I am just adding info as I can find it and will gladly go back and source things out as I have the 'spoons' or "spell slots" if you prefer.

I am sure things will get deleted from each profile and added to the correct one as new information comes up so what you see today will be different than what you may see next week.

There are several instances where Ida Versluis married Hans Emil Hanson but the DOB and DOD are not quite matching up.

I am tempted to just put it all here until I know what I am going to do with it all and / or I learn how to verify all the information.

So, I have the moral quandry of most every other geneologist I have met. I want to post all the things as I find them. But I also recognize that certain information has to be kept private (children, etc.). But I do see several family members post pictures, etc. I do want to see those memories on their branches of the tree. I also want to get their consent to do so. But I also recognize that some pictures may disappear as quickly as they appear. So, fair warning. If I see it, I might grab a copy. But the copies won't be posted with out your consent if I can. If I can't get consent, they will be in folders on my computer and the person who takes over this tree will be given access..

I started this tree on 09-17-22 after finding about it on another site.

I have this one and a tree going on family search .org so you have two lines to refer too.

I know for A DAMN DEAD STRAIGHT UP FACT that this is my birth mother, but wikitree will not recognize that unless I have done a swab test. so have to change it. Now, listed father on the other hand is sketchy as I just discovered that Mom was pregnant before they married and there has been a quiet family rumor that I am not his.
