Biography

Ruby was born in 1892. She was the daughter of Thomas Anderson and Lola Poole. ^[1]

On October 24, 1912, she married Horace Smith Jones in Fulton County, Georgia. ^{[2] [3]}

She was a saleswoman for Davidson's department store. ^[4]

She passed away in 1987. ^[4] She is buried at the Decatur Cemetery in DeKalb County, Georgia. ^[5]

Research Notes

The 1900 census record for her family^[1] is fairly garbled. Ruby and her mother are recorded under her mother's maiden name of Poole, but it should have been Anderson. The dates on that record don't match up with other records. But, it seems correct that Ruby was 6 years old in 1900.
