Eugene Gadsden was a Superior Court Judge and civil rights pioneer in Georgia. He was the first Black member of the Savannah Bar Association and co-chair of the local NAACP political action council for many years.[1][2]
In the 1930 census Eugene (age 18) was the single son of Robert W Gadsden in Savannah, Chatham, Georgia, United States.[3]
In the 1940 census Eugene (age 28) was the married lodger of Robert Spencer in District 1, Chatham, Georgia, United States.[4]
He passed away in 2000.[5] Burial was in the Hillcrest Abbey East Cemetery, Savannah, Chatham County, Georgia.[6] His obtituary on Find A Grave stated he was a CIvil Rights pioneer and retired Superior Court judge in Savannah, Chatham County, Georgia.
