I was adopted into the Hicks family in 1968 from the Spence-Chapin adoption agency in NYC. Until recently I knew nothing about my birth family. I have recently learned that my mother's name was Alice Thompson, who passed away in 2014 before I knew who she was or had a chance to meet her. My maternal grandparent's were Alice Jamison and Howard Thompson. I do not know who my birth father is. I believe my birth patents met while he was attending College, majoring in Psychology. I believe he was living with his older sister while in College. I also believe my father knew about me, but agreed to the adoption since he was still a student. My mother wanted to keep me but her family said no. I am still looking for my father.
