Biography

Edmund was born in 1762.

His parentage is often attributed to Joseph Gould and Elizabeth Thayer, but no birth record or other source has emerged to confirm. Joseph and Elizabeth were married on 7 November 1759 in Spencer, Massachusetts.^[1][2]

Edmund married Sarah Mott on January 7, 1788 in Canterbury.^[3] They had the following children:^[4]

• Lydia, Born January 9, 1791
• Benjamin, born April 19, 1792

Another child was mentioned in son Benjamin's will: Roswell.

In 1820, Edmund Gould was enumerated in Genesee County, New York with his family:^[5]

Edmund began receiving a pension for his service in the Revolutionary war on March, 1831. His address was Genesse, New York.^[7]

Edmund passed away in 1836, in Genesee, wyoming, New York.^[8]
