Michael was born in 1924. He passed away in 1950. Michael was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War.
There is a conflict between sources in regards to Michael's death date. The Wharton Journal-Spectator says 4 Sep 1950, which was also stated to be his fifth wedding anniversary. Longview News-Journal lists 5 Sep 1950. The Medal of Honor Society page lists both 4 & 5 Sep 1950. FindaGrave memorial lists 5 Sep 1950.
I looked on the National Archives site for the Application for Headstone for Michael, but was unable to find it directly on NARA, either as Mike or Michael.
