It shows her name as Lavinia Higby Deane Fisk. She and her first husband, John Deane are both listed as joining the Church in 1769 and she is shown as having been excommunicated. Other members of the Higby family are also shown: Edward Higby 1769, Hannah Higby Curtis 1783, and her husband Isaac Curtis 1782. There is a lawsuit after her first husband's death: Berkshire County Court Records, Pittsfield Massachusetts, Probate Packet #1283. John Bacon, Guardian of Electa, Lavinia, and Lydia Deane, and Ebenezer Cook, Guardian of Stephen Deane bring a suit to the Probate Judge: Timothy Edwards esq., showing that John Fisk and his Wife, Administrators on the estate of John Deane Decd, have neglected to pay to the Guardians of the Heirs of John Deane the payments allowed to them by the Probate Court. They ask that the Bond that John Fisk and Lavinia his wife paid to the Judge as trust "be put in Suit". The paper is dated December 5, 1786, and signed by John Bacon and Ebenezer Cook.
