Biography

James Wilson May, son of Calvin May, born May 25, 1821 in Cherry Valley, N.Y. He removed to Naugatuck, Conn., where he resided many years, and where his children were born.

He died July 17, 1856, in a rail road accident in St. Paul, Minn., while on a journey.

His wife Abigail listed as Head of house hold in 1860 census, Naugatuck, CT, page 13, running a boarding house. She died in New Haven.
